‘Sihina Rangahala’ – A rare treat for theatre lovers

One of the rare theatrical presentations “Sihina Rangahala” (The Theatre of Dreams) comprising five short dramas as a one show will go on the boards at 6.30 pm on Saturday, June 28 at the British College Auditorium, Colombo 8. Directed by Dhananjaya Karunarathne the five plays are ‘Valentine enakan’, ‘Chandrawathi samaga rathriyak’, ‘Oba saapekshai’, ‘Duwana un dennek’ and ‘Last bus eke kathawa’.
The collection of play stars Chandani Senavirathne, Sanath Wimalasiri, Chamila Peiris, Dimuthu Chinthaka, Sulochana Weerasinghe, Susith Ishantha, Sanjeewa Dissanayake and Chamal Ranasinghe. In ‘SihinaRangahala’ Kapila Poogalaarachchi handles the music while Chandana Aluthge controls lighting, Wasantha Poornawansha does the makeup while Kosala Thotawatte, Pramodh Edirisinghe and Sachinthana Dolapihillage are in charge of stage management. The drama is staged in aid of developing the sport infrastructure of Mahanama College by the 2002 batch of Mahanama College Old Boys Association. Tickets will be available at the Sadeepa Book Shop, Borella and the Sarasavi Book Shop, Nugegoda from 14th June onwards.
