Heshan and Tharanga shine for Nippon Paint
Nippon Paint scored back to back wins and debutants, Allianz Insurance scored an upset win over MAC Holdings, in the ongoing 4th Stafford Motor Co. sponsored, ‘Honda’ Trophy, MCA’G’ division 25-Over League Tournament, continued last weekend.
A 102-runs partnership for the fourth wicket between Heshan de Silva (61 in 29 balls, inclusive of 6 sixes and 4 fours) and Tharanga Abeysinghe (87 in 50 balls inclusive of 6 sixes and 6 fours) spearheaded Nippon Paint to a convincing 28-runs win over Elastomeric last Saturday.
The same pair, Heshan de Silva (4-1-18-4) and Tharanga Abeysinghe (54 in 52 balls, inclusive of a six and 6 fours), shone for Nippon Paint once again as they beat Copal Amber by 85 runs last Sunday.
