New Eleven Young Stars SC in 2-1 win
New Eleven Youngstars SC posted an upset 2-1 win over Victory SC in their Division 11 Yusoof Cup knock-out football fixture played at the City League ground recently. At the short whistle the winners held a 1-0 lead.
In the 6th minute of play forward Eranga Buddika opened scoring for New Young Eleven Youngstars off a pass from mid field R.D. Madushanka to lead 1-0.
After the turn around, New Eleven Youngstars added their second goal when Sachith Sumanaratne also playing in the midfield position broke through the Victory SC defence for forward Akila Dinesh to boot in the second goal. 2-0
In the 60th minute of the game, right extreme M. Hamjan got his head onto the ball to give the Victory SC their only goal and make the final score 2-1 in favour of New Eleven Youngstars SC.
