SL retail launch for Schneider Electric, 3,000 retailers in 2014 planned
View(s):Locally recognised for its Clipsal range, international company Schneider Electric recently revealed a national retail rollout plan for Sri Lanka wherein it aims to appoint 3,000 retail outlets for its brands by end-2014, according to a statement.
This also immediately follows Schneider Electric’s recent entry, for the first time, into the local retail sector. Specifically targeting the home and small and medium enterprise market segments, the company has launched its Vivace, ZENcelo and NEO range of switches and the Easy 9 series distribution systems in Sri Lanka under its own “Schneider Electric” brand.
“In Sri Lanka, we did have a good retail footprint with the well-known Clipsal brand which was acquired by Schneider Electric globally in the year 2003. We have since then expanded the product range and are now re-introducing under our corporate brand ‘Schneider Electric’. We are confident that the market will try out and get benefitted from these offers based on the latest global technology and trends,” commented Pradeep Saikia, the company’s Country Director for Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bangladesh.
The statement also added that, the “global energy management giant, Schneider Electric has maintained a strong presence in Sri Lanka since commencing operations in 2001, offering a range of energy management solutions to the construction sector, through its channel partners”. (JH)
