Tinpack makes impact
Debutants, Tinpack pulled off a dramatic four wicket win, with one delivery to spare, over the experienced, Citi Bank NA in the ongoing 4th Stafford Motor Co., ‘Honda’ Trophy, MCA Division ‘G’, 25-Over League Tournament, continued last weekend.
In a similar tense encounter, debutants, Avian Technologies nudged ICBT by two runs; Avian Technologies, Nalaka Perera (5 for 23 in 4.4 overs) bowling the last over of the day , bagged two wickets in the third and fourth deliveries giving away only one run, as ICBT, chasing victory target of 161 were all out for 158 in 24.4 overs.

The excitement continued, this time in the match between Assetline Leasing Vs. HNB Assurance; right arm off spinner, Harshana Aponsu bowled his heart out claiming 5 for 11 in 5 overs, but his effort did not bear fruit for HNB Assurance, as Assetline Leasing snatched a one wicket win with three balls to spare.
Weekend’s best batting were by Malik Perera from United Tractor’s (97 not out in 44 balls with seven sixes and eight fours Vs. MI Synergy) and Luke Perera from Bharti Airtel (92 not out in 80 balls, inclusive of three sixes and 11 fours Vs. Coca Cola Beverages ). United Tractors beat MIS by 132 runs, but Bharti Airtel lost to Coca Cola Beverages by five wickets.
