Skipper Priyanjan and Prasanna star in second ‘A’ team win
View(s):A captain’s knock by Ashan Priyanjan and a fifer by spinner Seekuge Prasanna guided Sri Lanka ‘A’ to a convincing 107-run win against Ireland in the second unofficial One Day International played at Stormont in Belfast on Friday.

Electing to bat, Sri Lanka ‘A’ were bolstered by powerful displays by their top order which eventually proved sufficient.
Priyanjan’s blistering knock of 111 and three other half centuries helped Sri Lanka ‘A’ post 328 for the loss of 8 wickets before Prasanna took 5 for 50 to restrict Ireland to 222.
Priyanjan only faced 70 balls for his powerful ton which had 15 boundaries and three sixes. His knock came after openers Dhanushka Gunatillake and Mahela Udawatte put on a stand of 104 runs in 15 overs. Gunatillake faced 76 deliveries and hit seven fours and a six in his 55 and Udawatte was more resolute during his 80-ball 60 which included seven fours.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa hit a run-a-ball 29 inclusive of four boundaries and shared a partnership of 94 runs with Priyanjan in 11 overs before Chathuranga de Silva came out to hit a cameo of 60. De Silva just faced 27 deliveries to hammer 60 which also had 11 boundaries and a six.
He shared a partnership of 86 runs off 38 deliveries with Priyanjan who was dismissed after Sri Lanka ‘A’ reached 304 on the board. Priyanjan reached his half century in 40 deliveries and just used the remaining 30 deliveries to hammer his next 61 runs.
