Toccata Musical Productions box office now open
View(s):The box office for Toccata Musical Productions’ Sri Lanka shows this August is now open!
Toccata Musical Productions is a collective of professional and semi-professional musicians, all based in the UK, joined under the banner “Musical Productions for Charitable Causes”. Founded in 2006 by Sunil Paulraj – classical musician and neonatal doctor! The group has travelled the globe, focusing on taking world-class performance to people and places that don’t usually experience it.
The 60-plus strong group, on its Asia Tour 2014, includes nine soloist singers from London’s West End, an 11-piece band and 30plus choir, dancers as well as tech experts, ensuring that the whole show will be top-notch. In Sri Lanka, the group will present two different shows under the guidance of artistic director Judith Sheridan, “Best of West End and Broadway: hits from the musicals that we all know and love” and “Sounds of Nostalgia: Classic, Pop, Rock and Country HITS”. Both shows will feature well known local artistes as guest performers, bringing Toccata’s “sharing” ethic to life in true cultural exchange, on stage as well.
Toccata Musical Productions will take the stage at the BMICH on the August 15, 16 and 17. The box office will be open at the BMICH from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. from Tuesday to Sunday.
