Shivanthi, new President of the Sri Lanka Library Association
View(s):Shivanthi Weerasinghe was inducted as the President of the Sri Lanka Library Association at its 54th AGM held recently at the Sri Lanka Foundation in Colombo.
Ms. Weerasinghe has over 35 years of experience and is presently the Librarian of the Bank of Ceylon. She is an Associate and a Fellow of the Sri Lanka Library Association and holds a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Colombo.
The association which is the apex professional body of librarians and information professionals in Sri Lanka for over 50 years is also involved in national and international library and information activities.
