Lankan lads pitted against Australia, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan
Sri Lanka along with Australia, Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia will play in Pool A in the preliminary round at the 10th Edition of the Asian Boys’ Under 18 Volleyball championship conducted by the Asian Volleyball Confederation to be worked-off at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo from September 5 to 13th.
Fifteen teams from Asian countries will vie for the Asian Under 18 Volleyball crown are billed to play in four groups in the preliminary rounds.
A total number of 21 matches in the preliminary round will be played from September 5 to 8. The Super Eight Round will be played from September 9 to 12 and the final will take place on September 13. A pool consisting of 19 players are undergoing training at present and the final 12 will be announced in August end.
China emerged champions at the last contest.

- Pool ‘A’: Sri Lanka, Australia, Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia.
- Pool ‘B’: Iran, India, Qatar and Bahrain
- Pool ‘C’: China, Chinese Taipei, Maldives and Hong Kong
- Pool ‘D’: Japan, Korea and Turkmenistan
