Cakes 4 Gaza
View(s):Children are paying a deadly price for the conflict in Gaza; every day the number of children killed or injured is rising at an alarming rate. The civilian population is facing a dire humanitarian crisis, with widespread destruction to communication services, infrastructure and property. Hospitals are struggling to cope with the mounting toll of the conflict and thousands of people are in urgent need of food, shelter and medical aid.
Spurred to do their bit, the English Cake Company is raising money to help the needy in Gaza. Those wishing to help can call them and place an order for a whole cake, and the company will donate 50% of the proceeds to The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF). This charity appeal is available only from August 11 – 16.
