The De Lanerolle Brothers say thank you for the music
View(s):To mark their 5th anniversary, the De Lanerolle Brothers have organised a Thanksgiving Service in collaboration with the young and dynamic choir “OKTAVE” together with Neranjan De Silva on the organ.
All proceeds of the service go towards the Organ Fund of the Cathedral of Christ the Living Saviour of which Ishan, the younger of the De Lanerolle brothers is the choir director. A new cathedral-worthy organ has been a much identified need of the Anglican cathedral.
“Even for this service we have to hire an organ from outside. With a new organ which suits the acoustics of the location, the cathedral will also gain recognition for its musical and location value,” says Ishan.
The Thanksgiving Service will be held on Saturday, September 6 at the Cathedral of Christ the Living Saviour (next to the BMICH) from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Entrance is by token tickets priced at Rs. 500 which are available at The Commons, Park Street Mews, The Colombo Fort Cafe and The Bay Leaf.
