Based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ American superhero film is now being screened at Savoy cinema, Wellawatte. An uneasy alliance with a group of extraterrestrial misfits who are on the run after stealing a coveted orb, the film is directed by James Gunn who wrote the screenplay with Nicole Perlman.
Distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, the film features an ensemble cast including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, and Benicio del Toro.After stealing a mysterious orb in the far reaches of outer space, human Peter Quill is now the main target of a manhunt led by the villain known as Ronan the Accuser. To help fight Ronan and his team and save the galaxy from his power, Quill creates a team known as the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ to save the world.
