Dark Continent sorceries dominate CFC win
View(s):Bodrie Dimitri of Cameroon and A.C. Samson of Nigeria from the African Continent dominated Colombo Football Club’s 6-1 win over Kalutara Park in their Dialog Champions Football League fixture played at the CR and FC grounds last Sunday. At the short whistle the scores were level at one all.
In the first session of the game, Colombo FC had the majority of territorial possession and should have scored many times, but they missed some easy goals through bad shooting.
However, in the 23rd minute of the game, A.C. Samson sent a pass to striker Bodrie Dimitri whose boot sent a stunner from the right flank into the left corner of the Kalutara Park goal and CFC went one up.
Two minutes later, Kalutara equalized when centre forward Vasantha De Silva scored off a pass from Nigerian forward Oladele Monday and at half time it was one all. After the change of ends it was all Colombo FC, with Kalutara Park going to pieces.
In the 50th minute, centre forward Ahmed Shazny got the ball to Nigerian A.C. Samson whose boot met ball, the net shook and CFC had once again taken the lead (2-1). One minute later the same combination made it 3-1.
In the 59th minute, CFC were awarded a penalty and Dimitri who had his kicking boots on made no mistake . Three minutes later it was Dimirti again who made it 5-1 off a pass from Shazny’s boot and in the 91st minute of the game, Ahamed Shazny put the icing on the CFC cake when he booted the final goal off a pass from Samson.
