Russian ballerina visits Colombo
View(s):World renowned Russian Ballet Teacher/Choreographer Oksana Karnovich will be visiting Sri Lanka from 8 to 16 September to conduct the Russian Ballet Examination of 320 students of the Russian School of Ballet and for the year 2014. ‘Russian School of Ballet’ is attached to the Russian Cultural Centre in Colombo, the only authentic Russian Ballet academy in Sri Lanka. Oxana will conduct workshops and various teaching methods after officiating the examination, to up lift the student’s talents in The Russian School of Ballet and Dancing.
Forty two year old Oksana Karnovich is a popular ballet teacher from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography (discipline – ‘Samples of the classical heritage and ballet repertoire’ at the Department of Choreography and Ballet) and the author of the Encyclopedia of the Bolshoi Theatre Ballet critic.
Oksana Karnovich wokred in collaboration with a team of ‘Russian Seasons’ under the direction of Nicholay Androso. Currently, Oksana. Karnovich teaches the discipline ‘Samples of the classical heritage and ballet repertoire’ at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography. She has written the programmes for the courses ‘Pedagogy of ballet’ .
As the troupe member Oksana Karnovich toured the cities of North and South America, Africa, England, France, Italy, Japan and others countries.
