Banker boards Taj hotels’ management team
View(s):TAj Hotels has got on board former NDB Group CEO Russell De Mel as a non executive independent director from August, a release issued by the company said.

A chartered accountant by profession Mr. De Mel had previously served as a Director/CEO of the NDB and Group CEO from March 2010 to August last year.
He had also held several senior management positions at the NDB prior to being appointed to the Board of Directors at the bank in 2010.
Presently he serves as a Director on the board of Regional Development Bank and Richard Peiris Securities PLC, and as IFC’s Nominee Director on the Board of Housing Development Finance Corporation PLC, Maldives and is also a Member of Rating Committee of Lanka Rating Agency PLC.
