‘Ela Pambaya’ in Dehiwela
View(s):Gunapala Karunapathirana’s latest theatrical production ‘Ela Pambaya’ will go on the boards at 6.30 pm on September 14 at Jayasinghe hall, Dehiwela.Well-known for his earlier productions like ‘Purankethe Pambaya’, ‘Meda Peradiga’, ‘Semada Niyan’ and ‘Hate Watte’, Karunapathirana’s play stars Dayasiri Hettiarachchi, Deeman Hettiarachchi, Rupa Gomes, Mahesh Hemachandra Perera, Sugath Shantha Moragahakumbura, Sandun Sameera, Manori Sagarika, Lahiru Sandaruwan, Lakmini Tillakaratne, Heshan Kumara Wijayanga, Nisha Rokshani, Pradeep Kulasena, Asantha Wijeratne and Piyumi Ishara. Rodney Warnakula and Damayanthi Jayasuriya do playback singing to the lyrics of G. Kularatne and Nalaka Bandara Navaratne and the music direction of Sarath Wickrema. Madhushka Gimhana handles make up, Malmi Thilanka the choreography, R. S. K. Jayasiri the lighting, Mahinda Wijesekara and G. D. Dayaratne the production management and Ranjith Silva and Sanjaya Priyantha the stage settings. ‘Ela Pambaya’ is produced by Gamini Suwaris and Sumith Perera.
