Takaful are cricket maniacs
View(s):Amana Takaful Warriors won the ‘Cricket Mania 2014’, a cricket tournament conducted by the Council Islamic Finance Professionals (CIFP) at the Prison ground in Borella. Teams representing the banking sector and leading corporates of Sri Lanka took part in the tournament where the winners walked out with a handsome trophy in addition to certificates and a cash award of Rs. 10,000.
This full-day event was organised with the ambition of enabling the professionals affiliated to the CIFP to engage in a friendly cricket battle.According to the organisers, funds received from ‘Cricket Mania 2014’ will be utilised for charity. The CIFP is patronized by First Global Academy, pioneers in providing Islamic Banking education in Sri Lanka.
