19th AGM of the Sunday Times Business Club(STBC)
View(s):The annual general meeting of the Sunday Times Business Club (STBC) for the year 2014/15 was held recently at the Cinnamon Lakeside, Colombo, the club’s host hotel.
At the election, senior member and former Vice President Amal Fernando was elected as President, taking over from Chaturanga Perera who had served two terms as President. Sampath Kulatunga was elected as the Vice President, Jude Chamindika Samaraweera – Secretary and Harsha Pathiraja – Treasurer.
The work and events for the year were discussed at length at the meeting, including the next event on October 21 on the forthcoming Budget and GDP growth targets. The speakers are expected to be MP – D.E.W. Gunasekera, MP – Sunil Handunneththi and MP- Eran Wickremaratne. More details later.
