BBDO crowned Network of the Year at Spikes 2014
View(s):BBDO Worldwide was crowned Agency Network of the Year at this year’s Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity. The Spikes Asia 2014 awards ceremony was held at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore on September 26. BBDO previously won the title in 2012.
A total of 5,000 entries had been submitted, scrutinised by 90 judges, and shortlisted to 400 entries of which BBDO Worldwide accounted for 139. At the end of the awards ceremony, BBDO Worldwide took home 3 Grand Prix, 3 Creative Effectiveness Spikes, 8 Golds, 29 Silvers and 34 Bronzes, according to a BBDO Lanka media release.
BBDO agencies from Australia and New Zealand led from within the network with Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne taking home 2 Grand Prix – for Branded Content and Direct, 1 Gold, 7 Silvers and 4 Bronzes. Clemenger BBDO, Wellington followed close with 12 Spikes including 4 Golds while Colenso BBDO won 11 Spikes – 1 Grand Prix, 3 Creative Effectiveness Spikes, 1 Gold, 2 Silvers and 4 Bronzes.
BBDO Lanka MD Santosh Menon said: “We are extremely proud of this great achievement. We have been consistently proven both creative and effective, essentially the best in the world and this has been borne out at Spikes 2014 as well.”
