Trekurious unveils Chef’s Table
View(s):Private dining has reached new heights in Colombo as Trekurious together with Chesa Swiss and Grape Expectations unveiled the first of its kind in Sri Lanka – a Chef’s Table, according to a media release by the company,
Trekurious designs and curates premium travel and lifestyle experiences. The company was founded in 2012 in Sri Lanka and is currently expanding into India.
“Traditionally a Chef’s Table is reserved for VIPs and special guests in the kitchen of a restaurant. Patrons indulge in a themed tasting menu prepared and served by the Head Chef, which showcases his best skills, and is exclusively served to one group, in one sitting. For the first time in Sri Lanka, Trekurious presents Chef’s Table with Chesa Swiss. Guests will enjoy an exclusive four-course meal paired with wine,” the release said. The heart of this experience lies in highlighting either a core ingredient, or a cooking style, which will be lead by Executive Chef Michael Goeggerle.
“Having mastered his culinary skills from a tender age, German born Goeggerle has worked in top posts around the world, resulting in finely honed skills and techniques in a wide variety of ingredients and cooking styles. He was formerly the Executive Chef at Hotel Gloria in Switzerland, and the Head Chef, at La Source Grenada in the West Indies. He has been Executive Chef of Chesa Swiss since 2000.”
On October 7 from 7.30 pm onwards a limited few will have the rare opportunity to savour a menu built around this month’s core ingredient – veal, and enjoy wines courtesy of Grape Expectations by Favourite International in the confines of one of Sri Lanka’s oldest family-owned heritage restaurants, the release said further.
