Students attached to the Department of Finance at Sri Jayawardenapura University are out on the streets and in buses selling pens to raise funds to redevelop schools in rural areas. Under this project themed ‘Sneha Dara’, they have aided the Godakumbura Kanishta Vidyalaya in Matara, to paint, buy water tanks and books. The students intend to collect Rs 1 million for their next year’s project.
