World Animal Day was a big splash at Odel when they celebrated a day dedicated to the biggest mammal in the world — the whale. A day full of whale themed activities called

‘The Whale Song’ attracted a lot of children and their parents.  Pretty, Blue Whale cupcakes, balloon animals like octopi and even games like  passing-the-whale made the day a fun one with lots of things to do. While face paintings of cute whales and cuddly soft toys were fun to play with, it was also a day of learning.

Puppet shows showed how even though they are huge, whales get scared sometimes when people get too close to them. Hoping everyone will be a little more sensitive to the whales and their homes when they go whale-watching an organization called ‘Friends of the Sea’ too was a part of ‘The Whale Song.’ Pix by M. A.
