The first copy of the book ‘She is mine: How to win the hearts of Chinese tourists?’ was handed over to Minister of Economic Affairs, Basil Rajapksa by authors Dr. Nalin Abeysekera and Shyam Nuwan Ganewatta.

The book, a partnership of University scholars as well as industry experts, discusses the importance of Chinese tourists to Sri Lanka in terms of many aspects like relationships, income generation as well as future potentials in strategic partnerships. It also explores the strategic window which is open for Sri Lanka to exploit the market share by competing with other countries. It is argued that Sri Lanka has been positioned as the best “strategic fit” in terms of both internal and external environmental considerations with China.

The editors of this book believe this contribution will facilitate policy makers, researchers as well as scholars on tourism in their decision-making in the future.

The book is a Shakkya publication.
