View(s):A T20 cricket match organised by the Grand Hotel, Nuwara Eliya in view of their Staff Welfare Day celebrations was played between the hosts and Carlton Sports Network (CSN) recently.
The match was played at the Public Grounds, Nuwara Eliya for the Raju N. Veerasingham Mercantile Cricket Challenge Trophy. Batting first the Grand Hotel team didn’t find things easy scoring freely against a tight CSN attack and were dismissed for 89 in their allotted 20 overs. Chasing a simple target in 20 overs Carlton Sports Network batsmen reached the target scoring 90 runs only for the loss of one wicket with eight overs to spare.
