The annual hockey encounter between Ladies’ College and Bishop’s College has a long lasting memory.
It was started in the year 2005.Ladies’ College has won the shield for 6 times and Bishop’s College has won the shield twice. Both teams were declared joint champions in 2010 and 2014.
The Ladies’ College Under-17team was captained by Nihinsa Vidanapathirana and vice captained by Yevinka Ellepola. The Ladies’ College Under-17 team played well and they were able to bring the Under-17 trophy back to their school.
Pankaja Weedagama, Ruwini Yeshani and Yevinka Ellepola were awarded best attacker, best defender and best goal keeper respectively.
