STC retains Monty Gopallawa Memorial Tennis Trophy
View(s):S. Thomas’ College retained the Monty Gopallawa Memorial Trophy when they registered a 5-0 clean sweep over Trinity College in their annual 
tennis tie at Mount Lavinia last weekend.
This was the third occasion the two schools met for the Trophy and S. Thomas’ were winners in 2012 and 2013.
The Thomians were led by Avishka Perera and the Trinitians by Joash De Silva.
The tie comprised of three singles and two doubles.

1st Single: Avindra De Silva beat Pasindu Walisinghe 9/1.
2nd Single: Jerique Rajapakse beat Navid Mohamed 9/7.
3rd Single: Amira Mutugala beat Jonathan Thomas 9/1.
1st Double: Senal Munasinghe and Sebastian Sansoni beat Joash De Silva and Navin Ellepola. 9/1.
2nd Double: Avishka Perera and Renuka Hulangamuwa beat Jason Thomas and Vimukthi Bowathuge 9/0. – (BM)
