Logistics and Transport International Conference in Sri Lanka on Nov 4
View(s):“Redefining Cornerstones of Logistics and Transport” is the theme of the 2014 international conference hosted by The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Sri Lanka to be held in Colombo on November 4.
This annual event is organized by CILT Sri Lanka with the purpose of disseminating and showcasing latest trends and developments in the global arena in logistics and transportation sectors.
This year’s conference will feature a number of reputed international speakers in the fields of logistics and transport. The keynote address on “Strategic Town Developments to Facilitate Efficiency in Logistics and Transport” will be delivered by Defence and Urban Development Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa, the CILT media release said.
It said Dr. Dorothy Chan, Chairperson CILT International and former Transport Commissioner of Hong Kong, will present a case study on how modern transport developments help manage urban congestion Hong Kong; “Emerging trends in the shipping industry” is the topic of the presentation by Franck Dedenis, Managing Director of the Maersk Line India Cluster; while Tommy Lui, Executive Director of Li & Fung Logistics will speak on “Empowering business strategy through logistics solutions”.
Apart from the foreign delegates, CILT Sri Lanka is expecting over 400 participants representing organizations from logistics and transport industry, industry leaders, government officials, members of the academic community and students, representing the Young Professionals Forum.
