Old Bens in final
View(s):Old Bens veterans entered the finals of the over 40’s annual 11-a-side soccer tournament 2014 conducted by Soccer Masters Association by defeating the strong Battaramulla Veterans SC by 2 goals to 1 in the first semi-final worked off last Saturday at the Cooray Park in Wellawatte.
Old Bens scored the 1st goal through Roshan Mohamed who slotted the ball into the net off a pass from Donald Fernando in the 1st Half.
On resumption the Battaramulla lads went of the attack and scored the equaliser through Saman Kumara off a corner kick.
The second goal for Old Bens came off the boots of Eranga Karawita when he received a neat pass from Roshan Mohamed.
Old Bens will meet the winners of Maligawatte SC and Petersons Wellawatte in the finals scheduled for October 15.
