Unbeaten MAS Intimates Unichela ‘A’ retains league title for 2nd year
Unbeaten MAS Intimates Unichela A’ retained the league title, for the second successive year when they scored a comprehensive 90-run win over MAS Active at the 22nd Singer-MCA Premier League, continued last weekend.
This was Unichela’s sixth win on the trot, thus completing their league quota of matches; they scored wins against Jonh Keells by 4 wickets, HNB by 131 runs, Sampath Bank by 7 wickets, Seylan Bank by 4 wickets and Commercial Credit by 3 wickets.

National player, Dinesh Chandimal tore into the MAS Silueta attack with a destructive 102-ball, 142 not out, inclusive of six sixes and a dozen fours, as DIMO rode to a massive 133-run win in the ongoing MCA Division ‘B’ 50-Over League Tournament, continued last week.
Opening batsman, Minhaj Jaleel from Hayleys Group hogged the limelight when he posted the first century of the tournament at Katunayake against DIMO.
Jaleel’s 111 in 123 balls, inclusive of three sixes and ten fours spearheaded Hayleys to a fine four wickets win on the D/L method over DIMO.
