WP to conduct mobile services to resolve issues within schools
View(s):The Western Province (WP) will conduct mobile services to resolve issues of schools, teachers and students within its three districts- Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara, said WP Education Secretary M.A.B. Daya Senarath.
He said the first of them was due to be held yesterday at the Kalutara Madya Maha Vidyalaya (MMV), followed by a mobile service Chandrajothi MV Gampaha on November 1 and in Colombo on November 8, at Homagama MMV.
He said that the Governor, Chief Minister, a Cabinet Minister of the district, select ministry secretaries and other officials will be in attendance to resolve issues.
He said, among the main issues to be taken up will be those regarding school admission, schools facing closure, sports facilities including obtaining grounds and other education related issues.
“The objective is to try and resolve as many problems immediately,” he added. (DW)
