Lohathieswar steers St. John’s Jaffna to innings win

Left-arm spinner Raveendran Lohathieswar ended with a match bag of 10 for 48 to steer St. John’s record an innings and 57 runs win over St. Peter’s Negombo in the Under 19 inter-school cricket match played at Wennappuwa.

This was the Johnians third outright win having secured wins against Hindu College Kokuvil and Madeena Central Madawala and also this was spinner Lohathieswar’s third match bag of ten wickets.

St. Mary’s Kegalle outclassed St. Sebastian’s Katuneriya by an innings and 99 runs in the match played at Katuneriya. The highlights of the match were the half tons scored by Nuraj Ratnayake and Hasanka Dilruksha and match bag of ten wickets by left and right arm spinners Supun Kumara and Isuru Wijeratne.

A fine knock of 103 with 13 boundaries and three sixes by Pethum Nissanka helped Kalutara MV record an easy first inning win over Sri Devananda MV Ambalangoda in the match played at Balapitiya. P de S. Kularatne MV Ambalangoda too registered a first inning win over Vidyartha Kandy in the match played at Ambalangoda.
