Tail-enders clinch first innings win for Isipathana

Tail enders Shenal Deelaka 89 off 140 balls with a dozen boundaries and Shehan Sandaruwan 56 off 116 balls with five boundaries and a six shared a 129 run partnership for the ninth wicket to help Isipathana register a first innings win over St. Sebastian’s College in their Under-19 Division I match played at the St. Sebastian’s College grounds in Moratuwa.

Isipathana skipper Chameera Dissanayake captured seven wickets to restrict St. Sebastian’s to a first innings score of 149. Then Malinda Uthpala captured three wickets in the 38th over to see Isipathana reeling at 56/6 but the gritty Pathana tail-enders saved the team from humiliation.
