She made homes for the homeless and made schools and hospitals. She was famous and kind. Everyone loved her. It was indeed a black Friday for all when Mother Teresa died on September 5, 1997.

So even we must respect her. No one will forget Mother Teresa.

I have two pets, but my favourite pet is a puppy. Its name is Bingo.
It is an Alsation. My father gave it to me as a present for my birthday. It is black and white in colour.
His whole body is black, with a white spot on his forehead.
Bingo lives on a kennel. When
I open the kennel door it comes
rushing to me. I play with my puppy. When I throw a ball, Bingo brings it back to me. It loves to roll on the grass. It starts barking when it sees a cat. It also barks at the iguana and snakes that come into our garden.
I have to pat Bingo on its back every morning before I go to school. I love my pet puppy Bingo very much.

Rush Hour
I woke up today and glanced at my alarm;
And found out that I was late to school.
I jumped out of bed with sweat in my palms
Oh! I’m going to look like a total fool!
On my way to the bathroom;
I tripped on my little brother’s shoes
(I have no time to worry though my arm is bruised and I think it’s turning blue!)
Run into the bathroom, grab the toothbrush – a few strokes on my teeth… that will do
It won’t matter hopefully, thanks to my breath-freshner;
It’ll stop my mouth from smelling like rotten chicken stew
A one minute shower with no soap or scrubbing (bet you said “Eww”)
One slight dab with the towel and plop the uniform over my head
Now I’m off to school!
I run downstairs – to find no one there!
Have they left me without warning? Or wait,
Do I hear my dad snoring..?
Has everyone gone crazy today?
I run to my parents room and pound on the door;
“Wake up! You people are late today!”
“Aw, can’t we get some sleep?”
I heard mom groaning;
“Leave us alone… It’s Sunday morning!”

A special day
The twenty-sixth of September was a special day for me. On that day I received Holy Communion for the first time. About 140 children received Holy Communion on that day.
Our daham teachers and our parish priests organized this festival. It was a very happy day for me and for my parents. The occasion was photographed. St. Joseph’s Church, Wennappuwa was fully crowded with daham pasal pupils, teachers,
parents and relatives.

Pros and cons of the use of computers
by children
Technology has developed around the world. Many people now use
computers to search for anything.
If you look in any house you would definitely see a computer.
Nowadays children get addicted to the computer because they play games or they are always having chats with their friends. This is a serious problem in the world.
When children use the computer, they lose their precious time in doing their homework, time to watch the television or to visit their friends. Some children even get spoilt
watching bad videos on the internet.
Forty percent of children who use computers have some health
problems such as eye problems.
But there are good points in using the internet. People can gain more information around the world by just clicking the mouse or else they can talk with their neighbours or
relatives overseas. Children can get more knowledge about the world.
By using the computer, children can also improve their skills in
drawing on the computer. They can listen to different types of music. Therefore, children should use
computers but for a limited time
period only.

popular movie song was

The programme came to an end with the chief guest’s speech and vote of thanks given by a student of Grade Five. The announcing was done by Thiasha Gammanpilla and myself. It was a very

A country I like to visit most
The country I like to visit most is Japan for many reasons.
Japan is one of the countries which use high technology to produce electronic items such as mobile phones, computers and robots.
Tokyo is the capital city of Japan. Fujiyama is the volcano which is located in Japan. Hiroshima and Nagasaki are the two cities destroyed by the American Air Force by nuclear bomb. Toyota is the largest car company in the world, which is located in Japan.
I like to see the beautiful and colourful Sakura flowers. I like to see a Japanese girl wearing a kimono and have a Japanese meal with chopsticks. If I visit Japan,
I will travel around Tokyo and do shopping. I like to wear those wooden slippers and walk. It is so enjoyable.
The final reason I like to visit Japan is that Japanese people have good morals. They are in the first place for respecting others. It’s my dream to visit Japan one day.
