Dell Latitude Rugged Extreme notebooks debut in SL
View(s):Sri Lanka’s Softlogic recently introduced Dell’s new Latitude 14 Rugged Extreme and Latitude 12 Rugged Extreme “convertible” notebook computers to Sri Lanka.
According to the launch announcement, the ‘Dell Latitude Rugged Extreme solutions are purpose-built to withstand hazards such as dust, moisture, drops, vibration, extreme temperatures and other punishing conditions faced by users in fields such as constrction, military service, public safety, manufacturing, insurance and first response. All products have gone through a rigorous ‘test-to-fail’ methodology, not content with merely industry standards, but identifying potential issues which are crucial to its customers in very harsh environments”.
Also added is that the “convertible features a camera which is ideal for documentation, and with latest 4th Generation Intel Core processors and wireless technology, both machines enable outstanding performance and connectivity for the hard user. Both laptops also provide industry standard legacy connections, which are in built while the screen has full daylight visibility, an important aspect when using outdoors the majority of time”.
The announcement noted that the “Latitude Rugged Extreme notebooks are independently tested to military standards (MIL-STD-810G) including drops up to six feet, as well as ingress protection, emissions and hazardous materials certifications by a third-party testing facility. Further, since no single field test accounts for every possible scenario, the Dell Rugged Extreme portfolio is tested above and beyond every existing standard to verify survivability in real world situations”.
