Sri Lanka’s Prabuddhi, Japan’s Ryota bag two titles
View(s):Sri Lanka’s Prabuddhi Perera and Japan’s Ryota Fujioka bagged two titles each at the U14 ATF Week 2 Tennis Tournament which concluded at
the Queens Club tennis courts in Colombo.
Prabuddhi who won the singles title defeating Anika Seneviratne as she played second fiddle again by two sets to nil in the three sets final.
Later Prabuddhi, partnered by Anika, retained the doubles title which the pair won in the Week 1 of the Tournament when they coasted to an easy 2-0 win over the top seeded pair of Anya Gunawardena and Sathi Siyara Silva.
In fact they repeated the feat they achieved in the Week 1 of the Tournament by overcoming Anya and Sathi for the second time.
Meanwhile Japan’s Ryoto was in top form as he continued his winning spree to bag the boys’ single title with an easy two sets to nil in the three set final against his compatriot Kyosuke Oizumi. Earlier the Japanese pair of Ryoto and Kyosuke took the doubles title which saw Ryoto ending the tournament on a successful note.

Third Place Playoff – Vibudha Wijebandara (Sri Lanka) beat Vandit Jaiswal (India) 2-0 (7/6(4), 6/4).
Doubles Final:
