High Commissioner Sarrath Kongahage presents Credentials to President Jacob Zuma of South Africa
View(s):High Commissioner Sarrath Kongahage presented his credentials to President Jacob Zuma as the High Commissioner Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Sri Lanka, at a ceremony held at the Sefako M. Makgatho Presidential guest house in Pretoria, on Thursday, October 16.
While presenting his credentials, High Commissioner Kongahage conveyed to the President of South Africa, warm personal greetings from the President of Sri Lanka and reiterated the robust ties that exist between the countries.
Following the presentation of credentials, President Zuma in his speech warmly welcomed the newly appointed Ambassadors and High Commissioners to South Africa and conveyed his good wishes to the respective governments and the people.
Sarrath Kongahage is the sixth resident High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the Republic of South Africa, since the establishment of the Sri Lanka High Commission in Pretoria in 1997.
