Diriya Doni receives much acclaim

The teledrama, ‘Diriya Doni’ directed by late Andrew Jayamanna and Deepthi Wijethunga telecast on National Television every Thursday and Friday at 7.27 p.m. has received much acclaim from the public.
Diriya Doni teledrama is the final television creation to which the eminent and veteran cinema and television artiste Andrew Jayamanna contributed through direction prior to his demise on last August 28th.
Through this tele-story, which is woven around the official life of a Family Health Service Officer who is appointed to a scenic rural village, the problems and barriers encountered by the public service field officers as well as the wonderful life experiences gained when working with genuine villagers have been portrayed.
The cast includes Semini Iddamalgoda, Roshan Pilapitiya, Deepani Silva, Richard Weerakkody, Kusum Maldeniya, Milinda Perera, Pujitha de Mel, Chithra Wakishta, Lal Kularathne, Sandun Wijesiri, Udeni Alwis, Kalana Gunasekera and Udeni Chandrasiri.
