Dialog Star Points extends ‘helping hand’ to SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka
View(s):Dialog Star Points, Sri Lanka’s largest loyalty rewards network, is donating its Star Points for the well-being and development of orphaned children at SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka.

The funds raised through customer contributions from Star Points will be utilised for the well-being and development of the children who have lost their parents and are being cared by SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka, according to a company statement. SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka is a non-profit, approved charitable organisation which was registered in Sri Lanka in 1981 under an agreement with the Ministry of Social Services.
SOS Children’s Villages operates in more than 130 countries to help children and support families where children are at risk and require a loving home and environment to grow up. Uniquely, SOS Children’s Villages provide practical support in the long term, so that each child can develop resilient relationships and face life’s challenges in the future. In turn, this strengthens communities and society as a whole. The organisation also speaks on behalf of children, to governments and similar organisations, striving to end violations of children’s rights and improve living conditions worldwide.
“We need the support of partners and donors to provide vulnerable children a loving home and a second chance just to be a child,” Ananda Karunarathne, National Director, SOS children’s Villages Sri Lanka, was quoted as saying in the Dialog release.
