Required business solution is available, but not the expertise to handle it
View(s):According to the current context of providing high end business solutions to business organisations, Microsoft Dynamics AX, a business solution that supports both operational and administrative processes of big companies, has been in Sri Lanka for a while but there is no local expertise to handle it, says Tharmarajah Suresh, CEO of ZILLIONe Group of Companies.
Mr. Suresh made this comment to the Business Times on the sidelines of signing a MoU between ZILLIONe and Godrej Info Tech to launch Microsoft Dynamics AX solutions in Sri Lanka at the Cinnamon Lakeside in Colombo last week.
Adding to that he said, “ZILLIONe, which is into Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), has been handling only up to the upper mid-market segment and has around 200 customers in its portfolio. ZILLIONe Business Solutions connects almost everything from sales to inventory, manufacturing and customer relations. The integration part is the beauty of the ERP.”
All these days Microsoft Dynamics AX was directly implemented from India.
There was nobody who had the skills to do it here. Some local companies get down an Indian company to come and directly do the complete implementation.
“We don’t want to go for that model. We are going to have our own team and be learning, but will be supported by Godrej expertise. That skill we will be taking to the other markets,” noted Mr. Suresh. With the combination of ZILLIONe’s dominance in the Sri Lankan Market and Godrej’s expertise, the Sri Lankan business will be benefited with the offering of Microsoft Dynamics AX in the future.
This single solution comes with localisations in the box for 36 countries.
