Lotus World is a collaboration of human beings with good will, who aim to achieve and cultivate

“Inner Happiness.”
Mr. Navin Gooneratne who was the producer of the period cinematic work “Sri Gautama Buddha” and Mr. Gagan Malik who portrayed Prince Siddhartha in the film,  partnered up for an initiative  that seeks to make the world a better place. They are supported by a group of trustees.

On November 20, a media  roundtable was organized by these distinguished individuals at the  Sri Lanka Foundation Institute (SLFI). The objective was to inform the media of what to expect next from Lotus World.

To achieve inner happiness, they propose a five dimensional model. By improving these five components, namely,
Heart (experience of loving kindness to all), Mind (levels  of consciousness), Passion (motivation), Focus  (determination) and Health  (a stress free natural state) one could gain internal happiness.

When spreading this message, Lotus World would be following a certain structure which contains various social groups at different levels. At the bottom of this ladder lie children as they believe children are the future that can be moulded to form a better tomorrow.

The first activity of the  organisation was to hand over a notebook each to a hundred  destitute children of varied faiths. Under the caption “One Good Deed a Day”, these children would write down on this book, the good deeds they do for others on a daily basis.

This is one in a whole series of social services by Lotus World.
