‘Thanha Rathi Ranga’ completes 50 Days Run

The debut film of Nilendra Deshapriya “Thanha Rathi Ranga” [Between Yesterday and Tomorrow] completes its 50th day run on December 11. A recipient of the prestigious Global Film Initiative grant, “Thanha Rathi Ranga” participated in more than 22 International Film Festivals across the globe and won many awards including ‘The Best Film’ in – I Will Tell International Film Festival-UK and Dada Saheb Phalke International Film Festival – in INDIA.
Citation of ‘The Global Film Initiative’ (USA) by Susan Weeks Coulter founder and Board Chair read “…cinematically, it demonstrated innovative and accomplished storytelling, offering audiences a unique perspective on daily life in Sri Lanka and exemplifying the key element we seek in all grant recipients.”
