Winning the toss DSS were helped by two fruitful partnerships of 43 and 38 for the third and fourth wickets respectively and they reached a respectable 149 for 8 decl. Kulindu Ransika (46) and Lahiru Samaranayake put on 43 runs for the third wicket while Ransika was associated with skipper Teron Baskaran (15) in a 38 run partnership for the fourth wicket which helped them when they were badly placed at 21/2.
The pace spin combinations of Gayathra Shehan (3 for 10). Missaka Nadun (1 for 13), Kalana Jayawardene (4 for 14) and Lahiru Samaranayake (1for 19) ran through the De Mazenod batting .line-up to dismiss them for 65 runs in 28 overs.
Off-spinner Kalana Jayawardene is the most successful bowler so far in the series to capture 21 wickets in four matches.
