She launched her writing career with travel guides and ghost stories but has now come up with a subject very close to her heart.

Indian author, Minkashi Chaudhry Kanwar’s latest contribution is ‘A World Within: A remarkable story of coping with a parent’s dementia’ which would not only be relevant to her Indian readers but also to Sri Lankans who are facing all the issues that come with a fast-ageing population.

Minkashi’s launching pad into book-writing was her journalism. She has worked with the Indian Express Group of Newspapers, Chandigarh edition, as a reporter for nearly three years, written the fortnightly column, ‘Shimla Round-up’ and also made regular contributions to the Shimla Newsline of the Indian Express.

While ‘A World Within’ has been published by Hay House India in July this year, this 44-year-old author’s other books include ‘More Ghost Stories of Shimla Hills’ (2012); ‘Sunshine: My Encounter with Cancer’ (2011); ‘Love Stories of Shimla Hills’ (2010); and ‘Whispering Deodars’ (2009).
‘A World Within’ may be purchased online.
