Spreading the joy of Christmas at the Cancer Hospital

The CSR Society of SJMS Associates brought smiles to hundreds of faces when they shared the joy of Christmas with the patients of the Maharagama Cancer Hospital on December 13.

They visited three wards with 201 children, the CC building with 36 children and two wards with more than 60 adults.

While members of the society sang carols, a Santa who accompanied them, filled the children’s wards with laughter. Little boys and girls were off their beds to join Santa in a dancing session and their faces shone when each of them received a toy of their choice from Santa’s sledge, which was taken near each of their beds.

Items such as baby products, milk powder, stationery and pampers were also distributed.
