Re-scrutiny applications for A/L 2014 now open till Jan.28

The Exams Dept announced that applications for re-scrutiny of results of the GCE Advanced Level (A/L) – 2014, can be submitted if they so wish.
The application form has to be sent by registered post to reach the Commissioner General of Examinations, National Evaluation & Testing Service, Department of Examinations, Pelawatta, and Battaramulla, on or before 28.01.2015, with “Re-scrutiny of Results – GCE (Advanced Level) Examination 2014” written on top left corner of the envelope.

In re-scrutiny, the relevant answer scripts are fully examined by several members of the Re-scrutiny Board, and an upward or downward revision of the Z-score or Grade is possible as a result of the re-scrutiny.

School candidates should forward their applications through the Heads of their respective schools, while private candidates should send their applications directly.

Applications should be prepared strictly in accordance with the specimen application form.

The fee for re-scrutiny per subject of Rs 250, should be paid to a Post Office/Sub Post Office, and the receipt pasted firmly on the reverse of the application.
