JHU wants corruption probe on MR and family
View(s):The Jathika Hela Urumaya will call upon the Government to probe allegations of corruption against former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, members of his family and leading businessmen who aided and abetted, JHU General Secretary Champika Ranawaka said yesterday.
He told the Sunday Times that once the Cabinet of ministers was formed, the JHU would urge President Sirisena to take “immediate measures” in this regard. Mr. Ranwaka said the JHU was continuing to educate the people on the levels to which corruption had risen during the previous government.
He said he had a list of names of businessmen who profited “unduly” from various deals during the Rajapaksa Government.
