People’s Leasing & Finance ensured a place in the final round with a convincing five wickets win over Colombo Dockyard PLC; CDL is now in a spot of bother, as they have drawn level with Softlogic Holdings for the fourth spot in group ‘B’ and the team with the superior net-run-rate will grab a berth in the final round.
The January 3 and 4 weekend matches brought the league stage to a completion after 25 matches; The four top teams in Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ will now advance to the elimination round, which is scheduled to be worked off during this weekend with the quarter finals.

The tournament took a break for Christmas during the weekend of December 27 and 28 and got back on rails in the first weekend of the New Year, 2015 with a card of four matches, which will complete the round robin stage.
The first four teams of each group will advance to the elimination round (quarter-finals), commencing January 10, 2015.
The tournament will now, proceed to the elimination stage this weekend with the following quarter-finals.
First QF: Standard Chartered Bank (A/1) vs Colombo Dockyard (B/4) at MCA grounds.
Second QF: Commercial Leasing PLC (B/2) vs Dialog Axiata ‘A’ (A/3) at Thurstan College grounds.

JL The semi-finals are scheduled to be worked off on January 17, with January 18 kept as the reserve day, and the final on Saturday, January 24 at the MCA grounds. – LR
