balls helped Debarawewa National School surpass the first innings score of 285 registered by Devapathiraja College Rathgama in their division two cricket fixture which ended at Debarawewa.
Earlier for Devapathiraja, Ramindu Nikeshala played a captains innings of 126 off 171 balls with thirteen boundaries and three sixes and shared an 165 run partnership with Raveen Yasas (51) for the fourth wicket.
Debarawewa continuing from their overnight score of 98/1 were 244/9 at the end of the 64th over when Udith and Chathura came to the teams rescue. Sachithra Hemanayake topped the Debarawewa innings with 73 runs off 108 balls. Raveen Yasas was rewarded with a six wicket haul.
Devapathiraja College were 177/5 in their second innings at end of play. Prasanna Karunawansha made 54 runs off 60 balls with nine boundaries and a six. Udith Madushan captured two wickets.
