Police fish out 18 fertiliser bags of Govt. files from a well

Following a tip-off, 18 fertiliser bags of files belonging to a Coordinating Secretary of former Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne were yesterday recovered from a well in Minuwangoda, Police said.
Police said the bags were completely filled with files, while some of the bags had the emblem of the Prime Minister’s office on them.
Police officers declined to disclose information contained in the files.
