Merc TT takes for 2015
View(s):Mercantile Table Tennis Association kicks off its events for 2015 with the MTTA Veterans’ Championship (Over 40) to be played at the S. Thomas’ College Indoor Stadium, Mount Lavinia on February 27 commencing at 5.30pm.
This league tournament is open for all permanent employees of all affiliated firms to the Mercantile Table Tennis Association as at 01/01/2015. Duly completed entry forms will be received upto February 16 and the draw conducted by the Tournament Committee of the MTTA will be held at the Golden Bridge Restaurant, Mount Lavinia on February 23 at 6.30pm. The tournament will be conducted in Round Robin basis in two groups based on the draw and the top two teams from each group will be play in the semi-finals.
There will be five matches in each contest for men’s – four singles and one double. Order of play is to be 1st, 2nd, 3rd singles, 4th Doubles and the 5th a single game. Minimum of four players must be registered for each team. For women there will three matches – two singles and a double with a minimum of two players to be registered in each team.
